Dear Diary,

I sang the closing song at a Relay for Life event today. ‘Until We Meet Again’ by Dougie McLean. I was really pleased because I felt that I sang well, it was really important for the people who were there, some were in tears.

I cried afterwards too, it was really emotional.

Until we meet again

This is a recording my Dad made of me singing the song

It was a sad and happy event at the same time. I’m really glad I went.

There were bungee trampolines and competitions and even Mickey Mouse was there with his mate Elvis Presley!

It’s really opened my eyes to Cancer Research and Pink Ribbon and other charities like that and what they do to help these illnesses.

P.S They’ve raised about £35,000 and 32p so far this year! I think that’s really good!

  1. I thought it was lovely – and you did ever so well singing without any music behind you. Lots of people came up and said thank you afterwards, it was very moving. Not many people can get up and do that in front of such a huge audience – well done!

  2. Well done Zoe. That was lovely, and thank you for putting it on your blog.

  4. Hi Zoe,

I’m back home and catching up on things, so I just got round to listening to this. WOW! I thought it sounded amazing! I know the song well, and you delivered it beautifully.
If anyone ever writes tunes for Sassy’s songs I think you’d sing them wonderfully.
    Brilliant stuff, Zoe.
